Don Valley Stadium’s new look gym is open for business following a major refurbishment project.

The fitness area has been transformed into a contemporary, open plan gym including the very latest state-of-the-art Technogym equipment.

It features an advanced training area and plasma screen TVs.

One to One Training Sessions* - Hayley Toews, Health and Fitness Manager and John, Fitness Instructor and Lifestyle Consultant hold one to one sessions which are great for getting the most out of your gym usage. They provide an opportunity to ensure that your body is being worked out in line with your requirements. Our one to one trainers will work with you and work out a programme to suit your needs. Personal training sessions are £21.50 to casual users and £10.25 to Fitness Unlimited members. f

Xpress CircuitsX-press Circuit Systems

The X-Press circuit workouts are available at Don Valley Stadium to offer a real alternative to our current members. Many of our clients find it hard to fit in a beneficial workout in their busy lives and X-Press provides the answer.

Our traffic light system located in the gym times each individual exercise (GREEN 1 MINUTE WORK TIME AND RED 20 SECS REST PERIOD). The special designed programmes incorporate resistance and floor based exercises to create a fun and exhilarating workout. Each card focuses on different muscle groups and components of fitness. For example, lower body and abs or lower body with cardio stations.

The circuit style approach ensures that the muscles are fatigued after the one minutes work but also the continuous nature of the workout as a whole, works the heart too. A cardiovascular and resistance workout in one! Our programme cards range from 25 to 30 minute workouts but can be adapted by the individual to suit there needs. Each exercise has an adaptation and progression for those who want to really push their fitness.

Find the workout cards in the cardio gym (But please remember to return them after use.) Ask one of the fitness team if you fancy having a go! It's perfect for lunch times, before work, or if you plain old find exercise hard to do!!
