Nine colleagues from a Sheffield print firm are taking part in this year’s Race For Life- to raise money for research into cancer.
The staff from print experts Pinders are all running the 5km at Sheffield’s Don Valley Stadium on Sunday June 15.
The group, which will be raising money for Cancer Research UK, has already received donations from family and friends. But they want to raise even more money ahead of the event.
Pinders’ accounts assistant Anna Chambers, who is organising the team, said: “Lots of the ladies at Pinders have been touched by cancer and know either a friend, family or loved one who have been affected in some way. It’s those people we are doing it for and who knows- it could be one of us needing the support one day.
“We’ve just started training for the event. Some of the ladies have never done anything like this before so it’ll be a big challenge, but we’re really looking forward to taking part as friends and colleagues on the day.”
