Major refurbishment for Don Valley fitness suite
The fitness suite at one of Sheffield’s leading leisure venues is set to undergo a major transformation.
Don Valley Stadium’s gym is being fully refurbished and will include the very latest Technogym fitness equipment and an advanced training area.
It will also provide members with a new contemporary gym environment, flat screen televisions and a coffee room.
The refurbishment is being delivered by Sheffield International Venues, which operates 14 sports, leisure and entertainment venues across the city, and Sheffield City Trust working closely with Sheffield City Council.
Work on the project gets underway on Monday 17 December and the new fitness area will reopen to the public on Wednesday 2 January, 2008.
From Tuesday 18 December, members will have access to a temporary gym, which will be set up in the indoor straight at Don Valley Stadium, using a selection of the venue’s existing equipment.
Members can also use SIV’s other Fitness Unlimited sites at Concord Sports Centre and Hillsborough Leisure Centre.
