Radio Control Car Racing is becoming very popular and with lots of different types of RC cars on the market - there's something for everyone's budget.
All types of RC car racing resembles full size car racing, so if Formula 1 is the sport that accelerates your pulse, this pastime is one way of simulating the big track experience!
The car is controlled by a hand held radio transmitter which sends a signal to a receiver in the car, this then translates the signal to control the steering, and throttle. The car is propelled by an electric motor which is in turn powered by a rechargeable battery pack, producing race speeds of up to 40mph!
Races are usually run for a set time in which the drivers must achieve as many laps as possible. The driver with the most laps in the fastest time is the winner. So why not try your skill or come down to watch and see what it's all about. There's no need to book, spectators come free.
